14 years and under (Semester 2) Boys and Girls secondary school competition comprised of 4 regional based conferences that either play weekly matches played after school
hours or "gala day" tournaments organised and run by Queensland School Futsal with the
support of Football Queensland to begin in Term 1, 2022.
OBJECTIVES:
To develop students in the sport of Futsal
provide pathways for young players from school to FQ clubs
create a platform to promote coaching and referee opportunities for
teachers and students through FQ programs
CONVENOR: Alan Pradella - Mansfield SHS
AGE GROUPS: 16 years and under Boys and Girls (students born in 2006 or 2007)
(14 years students may be allowed where there are not enough students to complete the team squad lists but a letter of request signed by the school principal must be approved by the QSF committee before the beginning of fixtures)

STRUCTURE: Secondary schools in Queensland are invited to nominate teams into their regional
geographical conferences - Northern, Peninsula, Capricornia, Wide bay, South Coast, Sunshine Coast, Darling Downs, Western, Metropolitan South and Metropolitan North. (All independent Girl colleges will need to combine with boy’s colleges orvice-versa) Schools need to nominate a Boys and a Girls team for each age group.
There will be 2 Metropolitan Conferences in 2022 – North and South that will play
weekly fixtures
Each conference will have 6 schools. If there are more than 6 schools nominating for one conference then we will divide that conference into “Premier” and “Championship” Divisions and run a “promotion/relegation” system each season
- 10 matches (5 home/ away) over 3 terms to be played fortnightly.
- Boys and girls rounds will played together
- Points for both Boys and girls matches in both age groups will combine for the schools
total points and 2022 Champion schools Award.
6 other Conferences – Wide Bay, South Coast, Sunshine Coast, Western, Darling Downs and a “combined” Metropolitan will participate in a one-day tournament in Term 2 to decide the top 2 two schools from their respective conference that will then join the top 2 teams from each of the Metropolitan North and South conferences and participate in the SFL Premiers Cup on Wednesday 15th June at Gold Coast indoor Sports Centre.
There are plans in future years to include the Northern, Peninsula and Capricornia conferences in the SFL Premiers Cup.
It is also planned that the top 4 teams in the SFL Premiers Cup will be offered places in a 2 day “Australian School Futsal Cup“ tournament where they will compete against New South Wales, Victorian, South Australian, ACT and NZ teams at the end of Term 3 or the September school holidays.
