Qld School Futsal Cup

About

The Queensland School Futsal Cup is a boys and girls secondary school teams - 2 day tournament for 16 years (& under) and 14 years (& under) age group (Years 7 -11) organised by the QSF committee to take place at the Coomera Indoor Sports centre.

In 2023 the 16 and 14’ year's QSF Cup will be played on separate dates:-

16 years Boys and Girls - Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th June 2023. (last week of Term 2)

14 years Boys and Girls – Tuesday 12th and Wednesdday 13th September (last week of Term 3)

All schools in Queensland are invited to nominate for the competition and the first 16 nominations are accepted. The teams are then are then divided into 4 pools of 4 teams. 

All boys and girl’s teams will play each team in their respective pools once ie., 3 - 40 min matches (2 – 20 min halves with 1 time out per half) on Day 1.

At the end of the Day 1 round robin, the top 2 teams from each pool will be placed into

2 - “Cup” Pools for the Day 2 finals. The 3rd and 4th placed teams from the Day 1 pools will be placed into 2 - “Shield” Pools for the Day 2 finals.

All teams in the Cup and Shield pools will then play 3 Round robin matches and the teams placed first at the end of the round robin will play in the Cup and Shield Grand Finals.

Second, Third and Fourth placed teams will play consolation positional playoffs

Football Queensland are fully supportive of the competition and will provide referees. We are also in discussion with interested apparel providers who are keen to provide carnival shirts and apparel with our QSF logo design, match balls and trophies
