   14 Years QSF Cup       

     

Overview: - 

​This is a Queensland secondary school 14 years, boys and girls Futsal tournament organized be the QSF committee open to all schools in Queensland

The QSF Cup provides the opportunity for all schools to participate and compete against other schools within the state. Although the QSF Cup is open to all schools in the state, due to time and venue constraints, only the first 16 Girls and Boys teams nominating in each age division can be accepted. (Schools missing the nomination cut off will be placed in a waiting list)  

 

    Dates: - Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd June 2026 (tbc)      

These two days are in the last week of term 2 in the Qld State school’s calendar which are usually free from assessment or other school commitments with very few clashes with club football/futsal.

                   

Venues: - Coomera Indoor Sports Centre

The CISC is a superb world class venue with 8 courts separated with nets, ample off court viewing areas for spectators and multiple canteen facilities (https://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Services/Venues-facilities/Major-sporting-venues/Coomera-Indoor-Sports-Centre)

              

Age Groups: - 14 Boys and Girls

  • All students can only participate in one division.

  • 14 Age eligibility - Students must turn 14 or under in the year of the competition.

 

Tournament Format: -

The Queensland School Futsal Cup playoffs will have the following format: -

 

Once nominations are finalized, the 16 schools will be randomly placed in 4 pools of 4 teams.

On Day 1 each team in their respective pools will play each other once.

At the end of Day 1 the 8 first and second placed teams from the 4 pools will then be placed into 2 Pools of 4 and compete in the Day 2 “Cup” competition.

On Day 2, the 4 teams in each of the “Cup” Pools will play each other once and then at the end of the rounds the first placed teams in each pool will play in the Cup Grand Final. Second, Third and Fourth teams will play consolation finals for positions.

 

The teams that finish third and fourth in their respective Day 1 Pools will play off for the

“QSF -Shield’ competition on Day 2 in the same format as the Cup competition.

 

Match Details: -

20 min halves with 5 min halftime and one time out per team per match.

Full FFA Rules apply to all matches except there will be no “stop the clock”

 

Sponsors: -

Academy One Football Tours are the major sponsors and will provide, perpetual trophies and medals to the Cup and Shield winners and runners up.

 

Teams and Uniforms: -

School squads can have a maximum of 10 players.

All teams must have matching numbered shirts, shorts and socks.

 

Referees: - 2 referees per Court

Football Queensland will endeavor to have 2 refs on each court for each match. (At least one senior referee per court) Schools are encouraged to provide Student referees to officiate as second and third assistant referees)

 

Draws & Results: -

All results will be recorded on QSF Official Match sheets and updated on the scoreboard in the foyer and on “Squadi”. Draws will be finalized by the end of Week 4 in Term 2, 2026. Current exemplar draws are attached and located on the website

Australian School Futsal Cup: -

The top 4 “Cup” teams will be invited to play in the ASF - Cup competition in Term 4 against the best NSW, Victorian, ACT teams and South Australian School teams.

 

Cost: - approx. $300 per team
