#ALWAYSVETO 12 Years Knockout Cup
This is a Queensland School Futsal “knockout” tournament for 12 years primary and secondary school, boys’ and girls’ teams organized by Queensland School Futsal Inc (QSF) and Football Queensland (FQ). There will be 2 separate competitions – 12 Years (Primary or secondary) and 12 Years (Primary school teams only)
Invitations are sent to all schools in Queensland and Northern NSW at the beginning of Term 1, 2025 with nominations due by Week 10, Term 1, 2025. The first 16 schools with signed nomination forms will be accepted. Once nominations are finalized, a randomized draw will be conducted at QSF Microsoft teams’ meeting Term 2, 2025. (MT invites will be sent to all coaches and managers)
Competition Procedures
The first 16 schools that send signed nomination forms will be entered into the One-day Finals tournament featuring a knockout Round of 16, Quarter finals, Semifinals and Grand Finals. Teams that are unsuccessful in the “Round of 16” matches will transfer into the #ALWAYSVETO Knockout “Shield” competition (sample draw attached)
All the nominated 16 teams will be placed alphabetically and numbered. A random generator will then draw a number. This number and the school attached to it will be the First “Home” team. The random generator then chooses the next number, which then allocates the “Away” team that will play in the first match in the Round of 16. This process continues until all the 8 “Round of 16” matches are assigned.
When all Round of 16 matches are completed, the winning schools will advance to the Cup Quarter finals and the losers will be entered into the #ALWAYSVETO Knockout “Shield “competition
Quarter final winners in both the Cup and Shield competitions will advance to the Semifinals and then Grand Finals. Losing teams will play positional playoff matches.

Age Groups: 12 Years Boys and Girls

Girls can play in Boys divisions, but only if the school cannot provide a girls team.

12 Years Age eligibility – Students must be 12 or under (players cannot turn 13 in the year of competition)

Maximum match day squads are 10 boys and 10 girls per team.
