Queensland Representative

School Sport

Queensland Representative School Sport (QRSS) is a body within the department of education that provides, fosters and develops sporting programs within state schools and colleges, and the non-state schools affiliated with Queensland Representative School Sport.

This is achieved through the coordination of regional programs across 12 school sport regions which provide the necessary network to cover the state of Queensland.

There are 21 affiliated sports including Futsal in the QRSS school sport program.

Part of the guidelines to be accepted as a sport were to provide evidence that Futsal is actively being played in Queensland school competitions organised by teachers within school frameworks.

The QSF committee have also been running “Invitational” state carnivals for 13/14 year students where students can be selected to represent their districts then school sport regions by attending trails organized by district and regional sports offices and  advertised within their schools by sports coordinators.

For further information contact the school’s Regional Sports office or school sports coordinators.
